Both Diego and Sherry Harris have been involved in local Lake County art and craft events for about 13 years and have participated in Mendocino art and craft events for four years. Diego's Gallery has been in business for almost four years.
Diego's own art consists of paintings, large black and white photographs, wood burned gourd art, hammered wire earrings and other types of unusual jewlery like knotless netted rock pendants. He is, also, experimenting with his welding skills in producing larger, out door sculpture art from recycled metal.
Sherry is a gourd and basket artist and, also, produces natural earring art, rock pendants and one of a kind greeting cards. She and Diego are planning on teaching classes again in the future once Diego's new art studio in Upper Lake is set up for classes. Diego is presently working on preparing his new art studio in Upper Lake where he will be able to do his art work and be close to his gallery. Below is one of his latest outdoor sculpted benches using a recycled old tractor hood, copper bird bath, assorted scrap metal and an exhaust pipe for a foot rest. This is another creative direction he is having fun with. This bench is, also, available for sale!
